Any person over the age of 23, having 2 years of driving experience, and a B1 driving license (the regular car one), can rent a motorhome. In order to be covered by insurance, the primary driver of the motorhome should be named on the policy. If you think there may be more than one driver, it’s important to ensure that their names are also added on the contract. All drivers are required to provide us with a photocopy of their driver license at the signing of the rental contract.

The motorhomes have an all-risk cover insurance, with a deductible of € 600. This means that all damages (brought by the client to the motorhome), will be covered up to a maximum of € 600, which will be deducted from the deposit. Therefore, at the time of the pick up, the vehicle is inspected for possible damages, which will be stipulated in the contract, in order to avoid any confusion, at the drop off. The insurance policy does not cover theft, or personal belongings stolen from the motorhome.

Generally, the motorhomes should be picked up after 8:00 am and dropped off by 8:00pm, Monday through Friday. If for some reason you need assistance outside of our regular schedule, let us know. The motorhome is delivered completely clean, with full tank of gas and water, and you must return it in the same conditions you picked it up (full tank of gas and water)

The motorhomes do not carry kitchen utensils, bedding or toiletries; nevertheless, the client can bring their own belongings; we offer the option of renting those at a lower price, option available when making the reservation.

The motorhomes are totally autonomous vehicles; they do not need to be connected to the electric network. You have enough gas for several weeks and a large capacity water tank that will give you autonomy for 4 or 5 days. You can refill the water at any gas station, camping or AC area, or other sources.

You choose the destination, whether urban or in nature. Ask us, and we’ll help you plan your route.

The all-purpose motorhome is considered to be a touristic vehicle; therefore, you can park it anywhere is allowed to park passenger cars. Usually, travelers look for quieter places or special parking areas to park their vehicle; tell us your route, and we will inform you on good places to park your car overnight.

Even though our vehicles are as new and constantly updated, the possibility of a break down should not be excluded. In this situation, we suggest that you notify us so we can indicate the nearest workshop to you, to fix the breakdown. In the event that the break down cannot be repaired immediately, you don’t have to worry. Your vehicle has travel assistance, which will cover the housing for the occupants of the vehicle, in a hotel near the workshop. If the repair takes several days to complete, the travel assistance will cover the return of the passengers to their place of origin.

Motorhomes are driven exactly like a tourist/passenger car. You just have to take into account that their height is greater and that the distance from the rear axle to the end of the vehicle is also greater than the one of a regular a car.

We will keep the car in our shop until you return, at no cost. If interested, we offer comprehensive car maintenance service.

The speed on highways and freeways, for motorhomes, is limited to 100 km / h. On the other roads, the speed limit is the same as for the regular cars?

If the client wants to extend the rental of the vehicle, they must inform Somport Caravanning at least 3 days before the end of the rental. The eventual confirmation of the extension will be subject to availability (assuming there were no previous commitments).

Delays in the return of the vehicle, which are not authorized by the company or due to unforeseeable circumstances, will be penalized with a triple daily rate to the amount charged in the rental agreement.

In case of cancellation of the reservation, the following penalties will be applied to the advance payment:

In the case of cancellation within 30 days of the rental pick up, we refund 50% of the amount of money already paid

If the notification of your cancellation is received less than 30 days from the rental pick up, there will be no refund?
